There are many opportunities to get involved with the events hosted by the Westover Civic Association or the Westover Women's Club. Here's a sampling of some upcoming events.
All of the special events held in Westover are supported by your annual dues payment. Working closely with the Westover Women's Club, our goal is to provide activiites for residents of all ages.
If you would like to help out either with planning or volunteering at an event, contact the Civic Association via e-mail at:
FALL IN WESTOVER
With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the social nature of the Civic Association must also adapt. The Westover Women’s Club sadly shared that the Annual Pumpkin Carving and Breakfast with Santa events will not be held this year due to pandemic restrictions and safety for all. Additionally, the Women's Club will not be hosting the Care & Share Fundraising Yard Sale this Fall. The WWC hopes to host the Care & Share Fundraising Yard Sale in May of 2021.
If you wish to participate in your own individual yard sale, the dates of the Fall neighborhood Yard Sale will be October 9th and 10th from 8am-2pm. Compliance with any and all township, state, or federal requirements for public health and safety applicable at this time is the sole responsibility of the attendees and/or individual organizers and not the responsibility of the Westover Civic Association or Westover Women’s Club.
The Westover Civic Association and Hampden Township do not sponsor any Halloween or Trick or Treat related activities. The Township merely establishes a uniform date and time for residents who wish to participate. Trick or Treat is scheduled for Thursday, October 29 from 6pm-8pm. Residents, with children, may decide if they wish to participate in door-to-door Trick or Treat activities and individual property owners may choose whether or not they wish to distribute treats from their residence. Participants are reminded to use COVID related safety practices.
We hope this finds you all safe and well. If you or a loved one need neighborly assistance during this crisis, please email us using the button to the left and we will be happy to see how we can help!
